In the years 2021-2022, Aarikka Oy received a business development aid from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment. The project created a new elf product for Aarikka Oy and a supporting elf story for the Japanese market.
The project started with the creation of the elf stories. We expanded the story of the elves with both a birth story, and brand-new elf characters with their own look and character.
In the second part of the project, the stories were commercialised by creating marketing materials in Japanese. The first limited edition "Elf of Love" was launched in late November 2022.
