Nuppu mirror is the perfect combination of Aarikka’s round design and an ecological mindset. To ensure efficient use of material and to minimise the loss of material, the oak parts come from a Finnish parquetry manufacturer. The wooden pieces are finished with a natural oil finish, that brings out the beautiful, natural look of wood and brings it light sheen. Oak and maple bring a beautiful and harmonic contrast to the mirror.

Every wooden Aarikka item is unique, because every piece of wood is unique. Products are handmade, visible in them and the volume they are made in - small volumes for a need. So the small details of life are visible. Light stripes visible in the wooden pearls are made by Kaija's husband Erkki Ruokonen's unique technique, which is still used to hand-dye all wooden products in Raisio.
