Elf Noita was sweeping the floor. In round circles, it moved towards the door. Kurpitsankasvattaja looked on, head tilted. "Why do you spin when you sweep?"
Elf Noita turned and smiled. "I swipe the bad energy away", it said, demonstrating. "I turn counterclockwise, in a spiral, away from the centre. This is how I banish unwanted energy. It becomes light, the broom gliding on the floor, moving it."
Elf Noita is made of wooden beads. It wears a black felt hat and it has a broom.

Did you notice the wood grains?
Every wooden Aarikka item is unique, because every piece of wood is unique. Products are handmade, visible in them and the volume they are made in - small volumes for a need. Light stripes visible in the wooden pearls are made by Kaija's husband Erkki Ruokonen's unique technique, which is still used to hand-dye all wooden products in Raisio.
