Aarikka goes fashion! The high-quality Bertta weekender is a roomy bag made of water-resistant cotton canvas. The elegant bag has been carefully designed with an eye for detail. The bag comes with a wide adjustable shoulder strap and two handles. The bag has a zipper closure with a veg-tan leather pull. On the inside, the cotton lining boasts the lovely Lemmikki design while one zip-up and one interior slot pocket wait for holding your accessories and smaller items.

Kaija Aarikka used the Lemmikki flower (myosotis) in her design back in the 70s. To pay respect to the long history of Aarikka, we have included the same design element in our newer products and collections. Finnish design for each day.

Did you notice the wood grains?
Every wooden Aarikka item is unique, because every piece of wood is unique. Products are handmade, visible in them and the volume they are made in - small volumes for a need. So the small details of life are visible. Light stripes visible in the wooden pearls are made by Kaija's husband Erkki Ruokonen's unique technique, which is still used to hand-dye all wooden products in Raisio.
