Come winter, the snow silences the landscape and softens the spruce trees with its heavy mantle. In the midst of this winter wonderland, we dream of Christmas and a lovingly decorated Christmas tree. This classic tree-shaped winter ornament, designed by Pauliina Aarikka, is made of felt. Pressed to its shape, the tree easily holds upright. A black ribbon attaches a wooden bead to the tree, welcoming it to the Aarikka product family.

Every wooden Aarikka item is unique, because every piece of wood is unique. Products are handmade, visible in them and the volume they are made in - small volumes for a need. So the small details of life are visible. Light stripes visible in the wooden pearls are made by Kaija's husband Erkki Ruokonen's unique technique, which is still used to hand-dye all wooden products in Raisio.
